Mosque Presentations
I have been invited to speak about my work for peace in several mosques recently, including 2 Ismaili mosques, as well as Birmingham Central Mosque. On January 24th, the UK Islamic Mission invited me to share a presentation for about 50 ladies in Birmingham Central Mosque, the oldest mosque in the city. I spoke for 20 minutes, especially about the Women’s Peace Meeting and its impact over the last 30 years, followed by 10 minutes of question and answer. There was considerable

Yoga for Refugee Women
On Tuesday June 2nd , I had my regular session of yoga for refugee women, in partnership with Women of Hope, held in the Quaker Meeting House in Selly Oak, Birmingham. It is so rewarding to bring something positive into the lives of all these women who have suffered so much, and for them to feel loved and valued. I am so grateful I can offer this service on behalf of our Women's Federation.

After showing the WFWP introductory video, we enjoyed a presentation about the family as a school of love, and the importance of protecting the family in our present society, where there is a trend towards individualism, and the goal for each of us to develop a true parental heart. We then shared our heart of concern as to how we can

Teaching Yoga for Refugee and Disadvantaged Women
I have been working in partnership with Women of Hope in Birmingham for quite some time, especially giving disadvantaged women the opportunity to learn and practice their craft skills. On November 21st , I was invited to offer a session of yoga at the Friends Meeting House in Selly Oak, which about 40 women attended. We did basic exercises for almost one hour, and the women seemed to really enjoy it. All these activities help the women to feel their value, and improve their s
