I was invited by a Christian Minister to share about all our WFWP peace work at the
annual service for the celebration of United Nations Day in Harpenden.
We met such a lovely Methodist minister, Rev Hammond, who hosted the meeting,
and the Chair of the United Nations branch, Suhail.
Also, the Lord Mayor, Cllr Liver, and her husband were present and were so
impressed by our Peace activities.
I felt both moved, and inspired, while I was giving my talk, and they made a big
collection of almost £300 to support our activities.
Such a wonderful experience, being among so many public-minded and dedicated
men and women. They all seemed genuinely encouraged when we shared
refreshments together after the Commemoration Service. A lovely evening.
