We had a very nice ‘Peace Studies’ evening on the 21st of January, when around 50 people came together, people of all ages, faiths and cultures. Teaching Yoga for Refugee and Disadvantaged Women
I have been working in partnership with Women of Hope in Birmingham for quite some time, especially giving disadvantaged women the opportunity to learn and practice their craft skills. On November 21st , I was invited to offer a session of yoga at the Friends Meeting House in Selly Oak, which about 40 women attended. Helping the Homeless in Birmingham
Mainly through our Birmingham Women’s Peace Group, I have been collecting items of clothing, toiletries and dried food to help the homeless in Birmingham in recent years. These items are distributed through 4 churches : St Martin in the Bullring, Agape Church, St Michael and St John, and St Basil’s Edmunds Court.
