My husband, David, and I were invited to share about our Interfaith and Peace activities in an online webinar attended by members of u3a, the University of the Third Age, which has about 435,000 members in the United Kingdom. We were invited by Dr Peter Rookes, u3a National Subject Advisor, together with Dr Narinder Sahota (Sikh), and Cllr Shahin Ashraf MBE (Muslim), both very good friends of ours. Representing WFWP, I was able to speak on the topic of ‘Faith and Humanitarianism’, especially speaking about our Women’s Peace Group, comprised of women of all faiths, and the practical activities we have undertaken to help the homeless and underprivileged, and how this led to receiving the Coronation Champions Award, at the time of the coronation of King Charles in 2023.

Over 100 people from around the UK attended the webinar, and it was so nice to be able to give them some genuine inspiration, particularly regarding the collective goodness of so many women who I have the pleasure to call my friends.

Date: September 14th 2026.
