Winter Celebration

Report from WFWP SL – 10 December 2025.

It was an inviting and warm afternoon, all the women who attended were happy to be there. We watched a beautiful video, that highlighted our funder’s work for peace and her aspiration to spread this message with the world.

Cllr. Bernadette Khan, former Mayor of Croydon, could not attend due to her husband’s hospitalization. We spent the time in group discussions focused on Women’s Empowerment. The conversations were enriching, and every participant had the opportunity to speak from the heart.

Ms. Caroline Fredriksson, an accomplished vocalist, performed beautifully two Christmas carols: “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and “O Little Town of Bethlehem.”

Awards were presented to eight women who had generously contributed their time to voluntary work over the years. The recipients took a group photo alongside with their awards.

Raffle tickets were sold to support The Destiny School in Uganda. Mrs Narinder Rehal an old

friend of the Federation won the Humper as a first prize, later other prizes were won from

another participants.

Afterward, we shared a potluck lunch, a delicious dishes cooked at home. Thanks to everyone for all your contributions.
