The Online Meet and Greet event was held via Zoom as an introductory session designed to welcome participants and provide an overview of the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) and its activities. The purpose of the event was to create a friendly and open space where attendees could learn more about the organisation, its values, and opportunities for involvement, while also building a sense of connection within the community.
The event brought together nine participants and began with an introduction from Laureta, who shared her role as the newly appointed Coordinator for Central London. She briefly introduced her background and explained the intention behind hosting the session, emphasising inclusivity, dialogue, and community engagement.
Following this, Mitty delivered a presentation outlining WFWP’s work across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. She highlighted the organisation’s mission to promote peace, family values, and cooperation across cultures and communities. Key projects and initiatives were shared, alongside examples of how individuals can support or participate in WFWP activities at local and international levels.
The main activity of the event was an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants were encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts. Both Laureta and Mitty responded to questions, providing further clarity on WFWP’s vision, structure, and future plans. This open discussion allowed participants to engage meaningfully with the content and feel welcomed into the wider WFWP community.
Overall, the event successfully met its objectives by introducing WFWP’s work, strengthening connections with participants, and encouraging ongoing engagement. The session concluded on a positive note, with attendees expressing interest in staying connected and learning more about future events and initiatives.
