On September 20th, Women's Federation for World Peace UK hosted its annual Artists for Peace celebration, spotlighting the imaginative brilliance of children across the UK and beyond. This year’s theme, "Underwater Adventure," invited young artists aged 5–15 to dive deep into their creativity and express visions of peace through ocean- inspired art.

The virtual event opened with music and a vibrant new poster reveal, followed by welcoming remarks from host Eric, who emphasized the power of art to transcend borders and touch hearts. "Art, when channelled for something positive, can make a BIG impact," he shared.

Special guest speaker Yoshiko Pamer offered reflections on peace and creativity, leading into a dazzling magic show by Simon Roselli of Amigo Magic. Explore more magical moments here: Magician For Hire London | Amigo's Magic

A highlight of the programme was the video showcase of artwork submissions from both local and international participants. Judges Chris, Miranda and Tanya were introduced before announcing the winners.

Drumrolls and celebratory music accompanied each reveal, with lead judge Chris narrating the journey behind each winning piece.

Participants then joined in a group photo with their artwork, followed by a live vote on Next Year’s Theme — between "Acts of Kindness: Moments that Matter" and "Precious Moments With My Family"— with results announced at the end of the event.

The celebration concluded with heartfelt sharing from participants, closing remarks by AFP Chair Oksana Torok and a joyful party song to wrap up the festivities. Attendees were encouraged to stay tuned for details about next year’s competition and to spread the message of peace through art.

Huge thanks to our amazing team — Mitty, Oksana, Pascal, Chris, David, Dawn Eric, Joanna, Simon and Karen — and to every child who shared their creativity and heart.

Voices from the Celebration:

"Krishav is very happy to be a winner. He wanted to represent our country, Mauritius. In fact, in his painting on the umbrella, at the centre, he has painted the map of Mauritius." — Swadha

"£70 is a really wonderful prize and is a huge encouragement to him to keep on working hard at his art. I know he will probably spend most of the money on paint and other art supplies!" — Tom

"Looking forward to seeing you all next year!" — Kristy
